To complete the registration process, taxpayers in this category must enter "Metal Scrap Dealers" in the text box that appears after selecting the "Others" option. This entry is mandatory for those choosing this option. Once this is done, buyers can proceed to fill in the remaining details of the form and submit it on the common portal to meet the registration requirements as per Notification No. 25/2024 - Central Tax, dated October 9, 2024.

This update aims to simplify the registration process for metal scrap buyers, making it easier for them to comply with GST regulations. By following these new guidelines, buyers can ensure a seamless registration experience and avoid any potential issues or delays.

To provide ease to the taxpayers, the department has also issued tutorials to give more clarity to the taxpayers.
